The Oyster Perpetual is the purest expression of the Oyster.
Dynamic and ever-relevant
The Oyster Perpetual stands out thanks to the various colors of its dials, whether refined or vibrant: a wide range of looks, each of which unfailingly adds a touch of modernity. Some dials, such as slate or silver, feature a sunray finish, while others, in shades such as blue stone, green stone, brown stone, candy pink, green, turquoise, med blue, and black are lacquered. Still other dials are lacquered and feature a matte finish, such as beige, lavender, or pistachio. Mother-of-pearl versions are also available in pearl white or with a multi-colored Jubilee motif achieved through pad printing. Oyster Perpetual dials truly adapt to any style.
The watches are fitted with a secure and comfortable three-piece link Oyster bracelet. The bracelet features a folding Oysterclasp and is equipped with the Easylink comfort extension link, developed by Rolex, that allows the wearer to increase the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm.
The Oyster Perpetual is available in Oystersteel or 18 ct gold. In 2026, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the original Oyster, a yellow Rolesor version is introduced. Offered in five sizes – 28 mm, 31 mm, 34 mm, 36 mm and 41 mm – the Oyster Perpetual offers the widest variety of diameters within a Rolex range.
Reliability and accuracy
The Oyster Perpetual case is guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 meters (330 feet). The middle case is crafted from a solid block of 950 platinum or 18 ct gold. The fluted case back is hermetically screwed down with a special tool, meaning that only Rolex-authorized watchmakers can access the movement. Another essential component for the watch’s waterproofness is the Twinlock winding crown, which screws down securely against the case and features a double waterproofness system.
Depending on its size, the Oyster Perpetual is equipped with calibre 2232 (for the 28 mm, 31 mm and 34 mm models) or calibre 3230 (for the 36 mm and 41 mm models) – self-winding mechanical movements entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. These movements ensure high performance, particularly in terms of precision, power reserve, convenience and reliability.
Superlative Chronometer Certification
Like all Rolex watches, the Oyster Perpetual is certified as a Superlative Chronometer. This exclusive designation attests to the timepiece’s outstanding performance on the wrist. This internal certification is strictly controlled by independent and internationally recognised Swiss bodies.
The Superlative Chronometer status is symbolised by the green seal that comes with every Rolex watch, along with a five-year international guarantee.
